Cost of Living Support

The cost of living is rising and this could have a big impact on all aspects of your finances including energy bills, the cost of your weekly shop and your take home pay.

We’ve put together lots of information and advice, designed to ensure that you are getting all the help you are entitled to.

From advice around welfare and benefits to support for families, people feeling the effects of isolation or people with long term health conditions and carers.

We’ve also got advice on how to become more energy efficient, reduce food waste, composting and information about local food support projects.

Support for businesses is also available.  Financial support can be applied for, to improve the energy efficiency of your business premises. 

There are also grant scheme’s available, designed  to assist residents on energy efficiency with fuel bills and reduce usage of fossil fuels and help lower the volume or carbon emissions used.

These  are some of the services available which provide free impartial advice and debt counselling:  The Office of Fair Trading’s debt counselling service, 
 Manx Citizens Advice Service,  Salvation Army debt advice service
